From the Forest Preserves of Cook County:

Our modern oceans are in trouble. To better understand this, we will analyze ancient oceans using the fossil record to oceanic acidification, anoxic conditions, and algal blooms. These ancient oceans can provide context to the crises in our modern oceans.
