Presented by Cindy Crosby
Cost: Gratis (Free)

This presentation celebrates the influence of trees in the building of this nation. Come to know their stories, dramas, and characters, and find your inner dendrologist.

Cindy Crosby blogs each week at Tuesdays in the Tallgrass. She displays her outstanding photos of the Schulenberg Prairie at Morton Arboretum, from prairie forbs to damsel flies.

Schulenberg Praire is named for Ray Schulenberg, a horticulturist on staff at Morton Arboretum. One could describe Ray Schulenberg as a native gardener gone gonzo, but gonzo in a visionary way. He recreated a tallgrass prairie, now 100 acres, on a former cornfield, one of the first reconstructed native plantings in the nation.
