Be a part of the Be the Healing national movement from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday, May 16 and 17, at Kent College of Law, 565 W. Adams St., Chicago. Organic Oneness, Illinois Tech, and Chicago organizations are coming together to provide a summit for teens, young adults, high school/college groups, youth practitioners, and community members in hopes of providing healing tools to create a healthier Chicago.
Dr. Joy DeGruy will have participants explore intergenerational and historical trauma, mental health, and improvement strategies through an educational, motivational and solution-oriented lens. Dr. Ruha Benjamin will share from her most recent book, Imagination: A Manifesto, that the most effective way to disrupt these deadly systems is to do so collectively.
